Make field width actual width based on view settings

When I set the width of relation field to 100% in Configure view settings, the actual select field is not 100% wide. Only the list of selected entities is 100% wide. Similarly for 66%. The 50% width seems to work properly.

I also find the current display width very ugly and I don't understand why this should be a design decision as stated in the linked issue.
If the dropdown is not 100% width then at least also make the list below the same width as the dropdown.
But even better: Make it the users choice how wide the dropdown is.
Would be great if you could just remove the
max-width: 70%
from the field container! Should be a quick fix.Thanks in advance. :)
